We had skirting board radiators fitted recently, we were trying to save space in an already crowded house so when we came to extend, and our building company recommended Efficient Heating Solutions, we ended up having them retro fitted throughout the whole house.
Having heated skirting board has let us remove all of those unsightly pipes and radiators. You notice them so much more when you’re in a small home. We live in Primrose Hill – our flat is old and full of character, which means all sorts of inconvenient angles and lost space. So when we realised how much more open everything would look with our skirting board radiators we just went for it. Now the new sun room at the back is fully kitted out and so is the rest of the flat (we’re ground floor).
The company we used retro fitted our skirting boards into our existing boiler (we’d already upgraded to an energy efficient one last year). You can have the whole lot fitted if you want – energy saving boiler and skirting board radiators all at once.
We’ve always wanted to make sure our home was having the smallest impact on the environment possible. We just didn’t realise that the radiators you use can be part of the problem. Heated skirting boards use nearly 40% less energy than traditional central heating options as well as saving all that space.
Our skirting board radiators were fitted quickly and without fuss. We’re delighted with the service we have received and with the finished product too. Highly recommended – we’d suggest you think about doing the radiators when you have your house redecorated or refurbished, that way you can get the old radiators taken out and have the walls painted before the new skirting boards are fitted. You’ll be delighted.
