*i will just jot this down before i go to sleep. our rotating blackout schedule here in Mindanao is slowly becoming a woman: unpredictable* kidding

so it’s confirmed that Ruffa Gutierrez (or Guttierez? sorry, until now i still get confused with the right spelling) is out of ABS-CBN and off to TV5 (i first thought GMA). but Kris Aquino/Noy Aquino’s sister/James Yap’s wife/Baby Jame’s mother/her parent’s daughter has said something that made Ruffa aggravated, emotional, and finally walked away of “The Buzz” set.

here is the video of the said incident:

way to go, Kris. there goes your brother’s plus points, too.

moments later, monster mom Annabelle Rama, predictably, made a reaction paper on “The S Files” (plus Pia Guanio’s eyeroll reaction is a classic - watch out for 0:14):

here are my 50 peso bill (because two cents? that’s damn small!):

- Kris Aquino is known to be tactless, but just because we know that fact does not mean that she can get away with it. she really needs to know when to shut up.

- i might not like Ruffa at all times because she’s OA, you know? but i am for her this time, because it’s not right to make a joke out of someone’s sadness. especially if the joke is not really designed for comfort. it’s like losing your wallet and your friends will laugh at you because you’re broke.

- Raymond Gutierrez is gay.

- Pia Guanio needs to know when to not roll her eyes. on national TV.

- after listening to monster mom’s phone patch, Annabelle Rama reminds me of this video clip:

if it’s not for the rotating blackout, i would not miss a single daily dose of my current primetime favorites: ABS-CBN’s remake of the popular Mexican telenovela Rubi, and the first ever “kantaserye” in the history of Solar System Television, Diva.

RUBI

i remember back then that Rubi was a hit. but even back then, i was not really paying attention to that said telenovela from Mexico (prolly because i was not into ABS-CBN much before or that i already have a life back then lol). but the remake really made check the clock and see if it is already on the TV.

hands down, Angelica  fits the role. although it would have been better (or not) if they slated Angel Locsin to play the role of the conniving and ruthless gold digger. but Angelica is a safe choice and a good ingenue nevertheless. also starring are Shaina Magdayao, Diether Ocampo, Jake Cuenca, and Ms. Cherie Gil among others…

DIVA

as for GMA-7, i also like their newest offering. a breath of fresh air

the first “Kantaserye” (it sounds really funny, sorry), Diva is a story of three singers with different personalities: The Wannabe (played by Rufa Mae), The Rival (played by Glaiza de Castro), and The Anything But…. (played by Regine Velasquez).

never really a big fan of Regine, but I find this series really promising. plus Rufa Mae. yeesss….

also starring are TJ Trinidad, Buboy Garuvilyo(spelling?), Mark Anthony Fernandez, Jaya, and Ms. Gloria Diaz among others.

now these two are worth watching. so stop the network wars crap and support Philippine Television instead! :-P

hello frenemies,

mara: ganda ng bangs mo ate clara. kaso what's with the face? nakadisplay ka pa naman sa photoframe. clara: grrr...

i was just thinking randomly what makes a Pinoy soap opera, a Pinoy soap opera. last night, i wrote all the facts i have observed while watching Habang may buhay:

1.) if it has Judy Ann Santos on a primetime.

2.) if the lead gets separated from his/her family.

3.) Pinoy soap opera is a small world. you will never know you have already met your mom.

4.) there’s kidnapping involved.

5.) kontrabidas, regardless of how sexy and girly, know how to man a gun.

6.) goons are always panget.

7.) you will instantly know if the kontrabida has an evil scheme when she turns her back on the people.

8.) yaya knows something you don’t know.

9.) seriously, what’s wrong with being adopted?

10.) palaging may naoospital.

11.) don’t mess with your lola. either she can kick ass or she has high blood.

12.) if the lead is rich, the love interest is poor or vice versa.

13.) rich people always eat hotdogs for breakfast.

14.) kontrabidas can’t deal with their insecurities. all the time.

15.) haba ng hair ng love interest. pinag aagawan. all the time.

16.) leads can’t dress up properly.

17.) pag di nabibigyan ang gusto, magagalit kay inay.

18.) neighbors are chismosas.

19.) neighbors will make chismis even in front of you, causing a commotion.

20.) pag nalaman ni bida na mayaman pala ang totoong pamilya, pupunta ng States at englisera na pagbalik.

well that’s all i can think of, for now. if you have anything to add, just leave it as a comment!

PBB: cooked well done?

Posted by atty_magman in Something Classy

so we all know that PBB ended a couple of days ago. and we all know who won. right? you don’t? good for  you, you have a life!

from 3.bp.blogspot.com

from 3.bp.blogspot.com

i am not really a big fan of PBB. i only watch it when i have a chance. and when there is a task ordered by Big Brother that requires shedding some clothes. but somehow i watched the last few episodes of the third season who had just concluded last Saturday.

Melai of GenSan won. congrats to her. but many believe that the real winner is the Cebuano rich kid Paul Jake Castillo, and that Melai’s victory was all but a sham. hmm….

they believe that ABS-CBN, the network that holds the Big Brother franchise, really wanted Melai to win, for she is more “bankable” than Paul Jake. they also believe that the network planned this all too well: since Paul Jake got the highest percentage of text votes compared to the loud and kooky girl of General Santos City, they had to come up with something to pull down the votes. Here are their evidences.

Exhibit A:

last Friday, Boy Abunda visited the five remaining housemates for some one-on-one talk. it seems that Paul Jake got the hottest, most personal and most controversial questions. - not to mention most of the questions are not really PBB related.  these questions, they say, were some sort of psychological warfare to make PJ a bad image to the public.

Exhibit B:

the mysteriously fast catch-up of Melai in getting the highest percentage of votes. this is very debatable since anything can happen in one day. but i guess it is really impossible, too, to get ahead that fast and that big.

here is a screenshot of the partial tally that was shown last Tuesday

from http://i50.tinypic.com/m96s1i.jpg

from http://i50.tinypic.com/m96s1i.jpg

and here are the fnal results of the voting tally:

“The time for the announcement of the Big Winner has come! And the results? Well, here go: Melai won as the Big Winner with 32.08%, followed comparatively by Paul Jake with a 27.31%; Jason and Johan came in third and fourth with 24.97% and 7.94% respectively while Tibo landed as the very first Fifth Big Placer with a 7.69%!”

Exhibit C:

the rejected Paul Jake text votes even it was entered before the deadline.

“Call me jologs, but I voted for Paul Jake at the start of the Big Night (about 6 times), but I was surprised to receive the confirmation message AFTER the program. And what’s more surprising is that my votes were not counted, closed na raw ang voting. I would love to show you pictures of my iPhone with my text votes and confirmation messages but I don’t know how to go about taking picture of the phone and pasting them here. Eeeeeepppp!”

i voted 4 times for Paul Jake (okay call me jologs! hehe), 3 votes got in pero yung isa hindi.

WTF? akala ko sakin lang nangyari yan! WEIRD

after seeing these pics and after reading the reviews, one can really think hard if this game is true to itself, ot not.

for the record, i am not against Melai, neither did i root fervently for anyone, including my own kababayan, Tibo. but if these evidences are all true, you could not help but sigh that, indeed, politics run in everything and not just in government.

nakakatibo ka!

Posted by atty_magman in Hello Life!

pbb-tibo

i’m not really sure how he did it, but somehow he did!

i never thought that this PBB housemate from the city of golden Fwenship would come this far when we speak of that darn reality show.

i find him really silent, bungisngis all the time, and his best physical asset is to cook. hanudow?

and he really is silent that’s all i can say (well, i never really follow the show)

but props to a fellow Kagay-anon, you did a pretty good job.

although im rooting for Paul Jake. because his richness i can relate. char lang!

im also a bit rooting for Melai, but not aymore since she does not need it: she has the whole Philippines, y’know (but you can never can).

so we will just see who’s going to end up as the Big Winner.

but please vote for Tibo! we need the attention! lolz

to vote, ask someone else. i don’t know how. hahaha!
