so who would have thought that the lowly, budget-conscious housewife of our nation’s champ can be a fashion icon?

initially, i wouldn’t have. but now, somehow it seems promising.

so, ehem, Dionisia, when are you going to appear on the cover?

as an organizer, i did not enjoy much the 3rd Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3. but it was all worth it.

i should have chosen to be sitting somewhere around the hall, mingling with fellow bloggers from other places of Mindanao, listening to the speeches and presentations of the guests, eating my heart out since it was buffet, and all the things you can imaginably do in a conference cum meet-up. but i had not done all these things. instead, i chose to sit in front – not to listen, but to prepare the visual and audio presentations, make sure that all should be played will pay well and smoothly. my designation as technical man was so exhausting i unknowingly snoozed right after PBA and woke up the next morning.

but it does not mean, at all, that i did not have fun during the event.

although it was pretty tiring to say the least (also stressful and havoc inducing incidents but i digress), i had so much fun doing it, finally meeting good online friends and had a short but sweet chat with them, meeting new friends altogether, and shared different views and, as a Kagay-anon, proudly shared my own culture to the rest of our Mindanaoan brothers and bloggers.

so for this i would like to thank those who had come and witnessed the event. i am sure coming here was a big plan, financially and, uhm, strategically, that is why i am very thankful although this comes really really late. sa bagay, i have made my thank you speech during the CDO Bloggers update. a very horrendous speech, i cannot get over with. hehe. bonus na sa amin if you enjoyed and had so much fun as well, like me. without you guys, it wouldn’t be a success, lalo na with all the hardships and obstacles me and my fellow organizers suffered and recovered from. kaya THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

now, it has come to my attention na a certain dickwad (sorry for the term) raised his “whys?” in a very – idk – ignorant way. with all my might i will answer your whys, but first let me say this: don’t say anything bad if you did not gather facts. YOU WEREN’T THERE when it was being cooked.

* so sorry if we didn’t pass the quota, but it was stated on the press release that WE WERE EXPECTING 300 people. expecting. anticipate. ga-asa in bisaya. a big date for a pregnant woman. we did not promise for Sparta to come, we expected. so okay MBS 3 was not the partay you were, uhm, expecting, but why give a fuss? a generous number of people is not bad at all.

* what was not complete in the kit? the shirt? due to circumstances the shirt came in late. but if you really want to have one, there are 70 more in here. but if you were talking about other things lacking in the kit, jeesh you’re old enough to ask anyone of us for the lacking item. dili namo na ipanghangol noh? unsaon man na namo?

* also, it is really disappointing that i have heard that the summit was labeled as ‘political’. ouch.

as much as possible, we didn’t want it to be as apolitical as you have viewed it, from your own darn selfish – not to mention pretentious – perspective. who would want to be a political sell-out, in the first place? we invited a LOT of speakers-to-be for the summit, and not just politicians. we invited truly influential bloggers, social activists, modern day heroes, people from the tourism industry, etc… sadly, not much accepted the invitation to speak, only the ones who needed it these days. second, we refrained the speakers from campaigning, so if you have noticed (if you darn give attention at all), their speeches were subtly campaign-ish (err except for one). lastly who can speak of the good of our island better? so there. i guess i have answered your whys.

so there. MBS 3 is a success, and I am happy for most of us. and for those who felt it did not pass their expectations, ging, ubos ubosa na imo kilay kay wala kay kilay, to begin with. =P

first off, it created a question mark right on top of my forehead seeing a not so ‘to die for’ on TV, who actually made it to this year’s GMA 7′s “Celebrity Duets”.

for this year’s duet battles, she is called the ‘beauty maven’. uhm, okay. maybe because she is a beauty surgeon. and just because she is a beauty surgeon does not mean that she has to be beautiful, right? ok.

but the odds must have taken a really long good nap to let THESE moments pass….

some time in 2004 i was first introduced to blogging. i did not even know then that it was called blogging – i thought of it as an online diary, where one can write everything that they can think of – be it their dark secrets, crushes, their first anal sex experience, and have the thrill of having the world to see what they have written and still be anonymous if they want to.

honestly, i never got hooked up with blogging. for me it was – it is safe to say that it still is – a thing for me that has a switch; meaning i can switch it on and off.

every time that i stop updating a blog of mine, i feel guilty. just everytime. this just shows that i am someone who does not take things much seriously. maybe i am someone who lacks passion in life. maybe if you just know, but i digress (wooshoo drama).

so back to being guilty. i feel guilty every time, because at the start i always treat my blog as my own child with crepe for a skin, then after a few months or so it is like a used condom – never in a person’s right mind to use it again (unless you really don’t know what a condom is or you are a prostitute in recession).

i am back again with an old blog. the old closet was fun, funky, a breath of fresh air and, so far, that was the most sellable blog of mine, reaching up to bryan gorrell’s own blog post.

however i have to bid goodbye to my old closet because of a situation i cannot control (read: flat broke). but with the help of my friends from cdobloggers, and encouragement of my friends, colleagues, and my own dear brother, the frustrated sports analyst, i bought back not just one, not two, but four blogs. meaning i just picked up four big stones and simultaneously hit these stones on my head. good luck to moi!

but whatever. i cannot promise that i am going to make this blog live forever, but i can still promise the same content that i have given you with my past closet: no nonsense, wild, loaded with ‘fuck you’ attitude, and of course fun.

have fun in my closet! just leave your slippers outside.
